Teamwork made D-Day a success

WWII veterans Ed Chappel and Mark Sumner  traveled for one week with four high school students whose mission was to honor and serve our veterans…and as a team, they did just that: helped the WWII veterans navigate airports, find restrooms, translated not only menus in France and Belgium but most importantly translated expressions of gratitude from the citizens they met while visiting the Mardasson Memorial in Bastogne and spending four beautiful days in a small village in Normandy. As Ed says, the D-Day invasion was “teamwork like you have never seen teamwork before”; such was our trip to Normandy with two veterans and their family member.
